Families who have experienced the heartbreaking death of a baby, child, or young person are eligible to apply for a fully funded respite break with Anam Cara Fasgadh.

Families are welcome to self-refer, but each application must be accompanied by a referral (which we will request) from a professional who has been involved in their care (for example, a GP, counsellor, health visitor, or bereavement worker). This helps us ensure that families most in need of rest and support can access our service, and that continued care is available before and after their stay, should they wish.

For context, similar caravans at Tralee Bay Coastal Parks cost between £790 and £990 per week, but through the generosity of our supporters, we are able to gift this time to families completely free of charge.

Many families who stay with us at choose to return again the following year, booking directly with Tralee Bay once they feel ready.
