"I’m climbing Ben Nevis for my daughter, Isla. Every step is for her – for the life we dreamed of, the love that never ends, and the legacy I carry forward. Being part of this challenge with other bereaved families reminds me that I’m not alone. Together, we climb for the children who will always be in our hearts - together we carry their light."
Carry Their Light: Ben Nevis Challenge 2025
Climb for Love. Step by Step, Memory by Memory.
Join Anam Cara Fasgadh this October as we take on the mighty Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak, in honour of babies, children, and young people gone too soon. This powerful and poignant challenge is more than a climb — it’s a movement of remembrance, resilience, and raising vital funds for bereaved families.
Whether you’re climbing in memory of your own child, alongside someone you love, or simply to support the mission of Anam Cara Fasgadh, your steps will help us offer respite, support, and sanctuary to families across the UK.

💛 Why Climb for Anam Cara Fasgadh?
Bereaved families carry a grief that never fades. Through our respite retreats, Tree of Tranquillity memorial gardens, and remembrance events, we give families space to breathe, reflect, and remember.
This challenge directly supports our work — including our urgent campaign to fund a second respite caravan through our Cùram Cala Retreat project. With demand at an all-time high and only 6 weeks left for families in 2025, your climb will help us say “yes” to more grieving families in need of rest and care.
